From the founding partner

Hi! I’m Stephanie B. Kim (she/her).

I love helping organizations build program infrastructure, utilize data tools, and design/deliver effective, equity-focused initiatives from outreach to civic engagement. Here at GWC, we design, facilitate, and implement community-centered strategies for nonprofits, foundations, and government organizations. We also build tools and provide technical support for this work based on over 15 years of firsthand experience in the field.

My experience ranges from philanthropy to direct service, and civic engagement to corporate social responsibility. I've worked on the front lines of a direct service nonprofit, built community-engagement programs in a university, distributed millions of dollars of government and philanthropic grants as a funder, and facilitated the creation of a strategic plan for a 100 year old organization. A bona-fide census nerd, I've worked on local and national issues related to the decennial census since 2018, including leading a $3.7M seven-county outreach campaign for the 2020 Census in the San Francisco Bay Area. You can read more about my career here.

I founded Good Work Collaborative after years of exploring, interrogating, deconstructing, and reconstructing what I want “Good Work” to mean in this world. This concept of Good Work, framed below, is the foundation from which I show up for my clients, partners, colleagues, and most importantly for myself.

Thanks for reading - I hope we get a chance to do Good Work together.
